520 | 3 | _aSe evaluó la asociación entre el ejercicio físico y el bienestar psicológico en los estudiantes de Psicología, Universidad Adventista de Chile. Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal. Se aplicó un cuestionario de ejercicio físico basado en el Health Behaviour in School-Aged Children y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff. Los resultados obtenidos no muestran diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre la práctica o no de ejercicio físico y el bienestar psicológico (p = 0,149). Al comparar según la escala de bienestar a los individuos que realizan ejercicio físico intenso tres o más veces por semana en los últimos siete días y los individuos que no realizan ejercicio físico tampoco se encuentran diferencias significativas (p = 0,767). No se evidenciaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los individuos que realizan ejercicio físico intenso con una frecuencia de tres o más veces por semana con una duración de 30 minutos o más versus los individuos que no realizan ejercicio físico, en relación con el bienestar psicológico (p = 0,500). Se presume la influencia de otros factores que mantienen el nivel de bienestar psicológico en esta población. | |

This was a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. A questionnaire about physical exercise was applied based on the Health Behavior in School-Aged Children and the Ryff Scale of Psychological Well-Being. The obtained results didn’t show statistically significant differences between the practice of physical exercise and psychological well-being (p = 0.149). Based on the well-being scale, no significant differences were found when comparing the subjects that practiced intense physical exercise three or more times a week during the last seven days and those who didn’t (p = 0.767). Regarding psychological wellbeing, no statistically significant differences were found between the subjects that practiced intense physical exercise with a frequency of three or more times a week, for 30 minutes or more, and those who didn’t (p = 0.500). The influence of other factors that maintain the level of psychological well-being in this population was presumed. | |
